Omoide offers biography memberships with secure Stripe checkout. Active members can make phone and browser calls, save conversations, and create book drafts. Checkout identifies test payments explicitly; test payments do not charge real money.

Calls last up to 120 minutes and include saved audio, transcripts, and AI summaries. Members can schedule automatic phone calls and play or download their recordings. Checkout presents the price, applicable taxes, and renewal and cancellation terms before payment.

All prices are in US dollars. Monthly renews at $29 every month; annual renews at $299 every year. Renewal continues unless canceled. Annual is a single upfront payment for the year, not monthly installments.

When you give a membership, you manage the payments and renewal. The recipient does not need to enter payment details or take over billing.

You can cancel renewal anytime. Scheduled calls and memory gathering remain available until the end of the paid billing period, then stop. Canceling renewal does not itself request a refund or create a partial-period refund.

After membership ends, the account holder keeps access to saved conversations, audio downloads, memories, and book drafts. Invited family can follow Memory progress and will be able to read the book once it is published. Unused hardcover credits from paid, non-refunded years remain redeemable after cancellation.

Annual membership includes one hardcover credit with each paid year, redeemable when the storyteller is ready. Monthly members can order their first book for $69. Additional copies cost $69 each with either plan. US shipping is included with every hardcover.

The hardcover format is 6 × 9 inches, with a black-and-white interior and up to 200 pages. The number of pages depends on the stories included, photographs, and type size. One credit covers one copy of an approved book.

The storyteller reviews the chapters, pages, and cover before printing. They can correct details and leave out passages. Omoide does not send a book to printing until it has been approved.

Conversations and new book drafts support English, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Existing Japanese interview settings remain supported. Existing books keep their original language.

US shipping included with every hardcover. Shipping outside the United States is not offered in the current plan. Allow approximately 2–4 weeks after final book approval; this is an estimate, and timing can vary with the address and printer.

The creation period depends on the storyteller’s pace and review. A birthday or holiday date does not guarantee delivery by that date. You will see the expected delivery timing before the book is released for printing.

You can request a refund within 30 days of your first membership payment. If an included hardcover has already entered printing, $69 is retained for that book and the rest of the membership payment is refunded. A refunded membership ends immediately, and unused credits associated with that payment are removed.

The initial 30-day policy does not restart on renewal. Canceling stops the next renewal; it does not automatically refund the current paid period. Separately purchased books can be canceled and refunded until printing begins. Personalized printed books cannot be canceled after printing begins.

If a book arrives damaged or has a printing error, contact us within 30 days of delivery so we can arrange a replacement or refund. Refunds return to the original payment method. These terms do not limit rights you may have under applicable law.

Only request a call when the storyteller is ready and agrees to saved audio and a written transcript. The account holder, including the buyer of a gifted membership, can access all saved storyteller content in the app, including recordings, full transcripts, summaries, memories, stories and book drafts. The storyteller can decline, skip a topic, or end the call. Transcripts and AI summaries can contain mistakes. The account holder can delete a conversation’s audio and transcript from Calls; a storyteller without account access can contact us for help.

The sample book is Lucy Larcom’s public-domain memoir, A New England Girlhood, in an Omoide sample layout. It is a historical work, not an Omoide customer result. The opening uses an AI-generated narrator, not Lucy’s actual voice.
