Privacy at Omoide

Omoide is designed around a simple rule: the storyteller’s privacy outranks anyone else’s preference. Nothing is recorded before Omoide explains that it is an AI biographer and asks for consent.

The storyteller can skip a question, say “Don’t ask me this,” keep a story private, change what is shared, or stop. Family members see only what the storyteller chooses to share.

The public website collects information you choose to send through the contact or early-access forms: your name, email address, the subject of your note, and the preferences you select.

Please do not submit private family stories, recordings, health information, financial information, or other sensitive material through the public contact form.

Contact-form information is used to answer your note. It is not added to a marketing list. Early-access information is used to send availability and launch updates you requested.

Omoide does not sell personal information or use family stories for advertising.

Omoide uses Resend to deliver website form messages and confirmations. Resend receives the email address and message content needed to deliver those emails.

Where configured, Omoide uses PostHog to count public-page views and successful form submissions. Automatic interaction capture, persistent browser identifiers, and recordings of website visits are disabled. Analytics events do not include form content or family stories.

As the product develops, additional providers will be used only for the services needed to operate Omoide, under access controls and data-minimization requirements.

The future Omoide product will distinguish between full conversations, private stories, stories available for family sharing, book material, photographs, voice recordings, and operational account information.

Full conversations remain storyteller-only. Review, sharing, export, deletion, and succession controls are being designed as explicit choices rather than assumptions.

This notice will be updated as Omoide moves from a pre-launch website to an operating service. Material changes will be described clearly before they take effect.
